This is a Rare Quality 1980's vintage figurine from the renowned W Goebel of the then West Germany, Impeccable made and hand-painted, featuring Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine, in Stunning 12th Century Period dress, holding a Book, with Long Plaited Blonde hair, a Jewelled necklace, and Striking facial features.
She has been displayed but is nevertheless in Excellent Condition, with no cracks, chips, crazing or repairs. Surfaces show light dirt, predominantly to the base, and a tiny flea-bite to the gilding on her necklace.
She stands approx 215mm (8 1/2") tall.
The base is marked 'Eleanor, 1442' with the Company's Blue 1979-90 W.Germany mark and is embossed with a number, '16 326 21'.
