Vintage 1950s, 1960s - 12 Piece Anchor Hocking Green Luncheon Set
Offered for sale is a vintage 12 piece luncheon set by Anchor Hocking that is "new in Box". The set is in excellent unused condition. It comes with the original box which is in very poor condition from storage. On the side of the box it reads “1 Set W 4600/87 12 Pce Set.” There is also a shipping label on the side from the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation. The shipping label does not contain a zip code in the ship-to address therefore we assume (hopefully correctly) that this set was manufactured before zip codes were established which was sometime in the 60’s. The set contains 4 luncheon plates which measure 7 1/4 inches in diameter. They have a white milk glass underside. The top has a dark olive green rim which fades into an little lighter olive green which fades into a very light greenish almost white center. Also included is one serving plate which measures almost 10 inches in diameter with the same coloring as the luncheon plates. There are also 4 stackable coffee cups or mugs. The mugs are olive green with black stackable rim bottoms. The inside of the mugs and the underside is white milk glass. The mugs measure 3 inches in diameter by 3 1/2 inches tall. Two of the mugs have some rubbed spots on the finish(possibly from storage - see the upper right cup in second photo). Also included is a creamer and sugar bowl with lid. The creamer and sugar bowl have the same coloring as the mugs and the lid is white milk glass. The creamer and sugar measures 3 1/4 inches in diameter by 2 5/8 inches tall. The sugar bowl is almost 4 inches tall to the top of the lid knob. The undersides read “Oven Proof Dinnerware by Anchor Hocking Made in U.S.A.” See photos.
