Funky Vintage Pottery
I bought this at a garage sale years ago and have always been fascinated by its uniqueness. I do not know anything about it except what is printed on the bottom (see below). I am redecorating my home and have gone with a different color scheme and unfortunately some things must go. I am hoping someone else will appreciate this fun piece.
Description:
I am guessing it is ceramic pottery. The spout stopper has a cork in it. On the bottom is imprinted in gold-color is a seal with the words: "Made in the United Staes of America, Universal Ovenproof, Cambridge, O., National Brotherhood of Decorative Potters"
Important note about condition: There is a chip, approximately 1/2 inch on the lower part of the spout. It is not visible when you display the jug as shown in the first picture. Starting bid reflects this flaw. Otherwise it looks great! The cork is in perfcet condition and fits snugly into the spout.
If anyone knows anything about this interesting piece I would love to hear from you!
