The design for this bowl is called the BITTERSWEET pattern,
the embellishment of the design is highlighted by yellow branches / leaves,
with red unopened flowers,
as well as a red stripe at the rim..
Fair to good condition overall,
there are many age crackles in the glazing from use,
as well as age spots inside and at the rim,
the rim and the bottom also has many wear marks,
measures approx 3 1/2" tall x 6 1/2" diameter.
History:
Universal Potteries, Inc. was located in Cambridge, Ohio.
They began in 1934 and terminated production in 1976.
They produced kitchen items and dinnerware, including their Ballerina line until 1960.
After that they only produced decorative tiles.
