The Labor Day holiday is giving me a good opportunity to dig through my basement 'stash' and cull out a few odds and ends. Here's three more glasses that I picked up at the estate sale of a ninety-something gentleman a couple of months ago. The style of these places them in the 1930's or 1940's, I would guess, but I have little clue who made them. The glasses are abou 5-1/2" tall, are about 3-1/8" wide at the mouth, and 2-1/2" wide at the base. They hold just under 12 ounces of liquid when filled to the brim (by my imperfect measuring methods), so I'd guess functional capacity is about 10 ounces. As you can hopefully see in the picture, they have a floral cutting on the outside (not terribly complex, but most cuttings weren't). They're just pretty old glasses (no chips, cracks, or fleabites); perhaps someone out there has some more, and would have a use for these. Buyer to pay only ACTUAL shipping costs (USPS Priority or Parcel Post from zip 67042), plus actual insurance costs, if insurance is desired. NO "handling" charges UNLESS I have to buy a box, and I shouldn't have to in this case. I acquire and sell (and many times, keep, depending on whether or not the wife likes it) elegant and Depression glass because I like it and am a collector myself, not because I think I'm going to quit my day job by charging people an additional 5 bucks every time I sell something. Payment is expected within 10 days of the close of the auction. Cashiers checks/money orders are preferred, but personal checks are fine also (item is held for 5-7 days for the check to clear, but repeat buyers ship as soon as I can get around to it, since I do have a real day job). And strictly for the convenience of my faithful buyers, I am again accepting Paypal. Until I decide to stop taking it again. I may or may not have a few other things up right now, and I'll hopefully be listing more as time and my 2 and 4-year old daughters allow (I spend lots of my free time at the park, which inhibits my ability to do eBay, sometimes). Anyway, be sure to click on 'view seller's other items' on the top right of this page for more nice elegant and Depression-era glass. And thanks for looking. And bidding. And buying.
