Retro 1950s Colourful Snack Dish
This is a very cool piece with seven separate dishes fitting snugly together to form the perfect party snack station.
Each dish is in excellent condition with just some mild crazing in the glazing. The colours are pure retro: burnt orange, dusty blue, baby pink, pale green, butter yellow, baby blue and sea green. The white stripe is etched in the colour suggesting this piece has been hand finished by the artist.
Speaking of artist, I wish I could tell you who it was but I can't read the writing on the base! The maker's mark appears to say Elisaher with either C48 or L48 also marked on most pieces. So if you know who made this, I would love to find out!
I expect that originally these dishes would sit in a matching wire frame but, alas, this wasn't with the dishes when I found them. When all grouped together the rondelle measures approx 27cm across.
A lovely retro piece for your kitchen or sideboard.
