Original McCoy
I believe this is a canister; there are smaller ones that match and make a set. It could also be used for a cookie jar or decoratively storing sugar or flour.
It's theme and design are 'Fruit Festival.' The top 3 3/4" are dark brown, as is the lid. 6 3/4" beneath this is beige or country ivory with the fruit design is the center. The jar itself measures 10 3/4" tall; 13" with lid. The inside bottom has round bumps on it. Marked into the pottery on the bottom is: 254, McCoy, LCC (the c's are within one another, see pic), USA.
There are no chips, cracks, marks, or damage. In the pics the rim looks to be chipped, this is misleading, it is not chipped at all. The lid has a rubber ring around the outside as to adhere to the jar and also will not chip because of this..
This McCoy is a great find, a great gift, a great investment as McCoy is. I assure you, the winner of this auction will be very happy they won!
