This custard glass bowl probably is a jelly compote. It is 5 1/4" long at the top and 3" high. The 2 sides have a thumbprint indent for the spoon rest. There is original gold paint trim on the indents and around the base. Lovely yellow custard color, opaque glass with the thinner glass at the top showing "red fire" the way old milk glass and custard will do. The glass is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or defects. See photos. The 2000 edition of Schroeder's Antique Price Guide listed the value for an Argonaut Shell jelly at $165.00. There is no reserve price on this item. Please ask any questions before bidding. We ship world wide.
