Up for auction is this vintage hand painted Carlton plate. The piece is best described as good condition. It has small amount of staining (spots) and some crazing it also has one 2 mm very shallow chip to the tip (more a glaze chip). The plate is designed for a serving of salad, it present well with the novelty of the shape of a leaf and painted to match. The plate is made of ceramic and is stamped "Carlton ware and made in England registered Australian design". Very nice and worthy of use and display it measures 26 cm long.
