Antique Custard Glass Pitcher,Handpainted Flowers
This auction is for an antique custard glass pitcher. It measures 3 1/4" tall. It is a solid, heavy piece and is hand painted with red flowers and green leaves. It has gold around the rim but most of it has worn off. It glows madly under black light. It is in wonderful condition. The glass is thick and yet almost translucent in areas. It has two smooth lines from the manufacturing process, one on the side and one on the top of the handle. Both are small. There is a very tiny nic on one side just below the flower and above the raised decoration. It tried to get a picture of it (picture #10) but it was difficult because it is so small. I have included lots of photos which can be enlarged.
